01) What benefits does the TravelSafe Policy  offer ? who is it  targeted at?
  Travel Safe is a Policy introduced by Eagle Insurance for  those who travel abroad as tourists or for business purposes.  This Policy provides comprehensive coverage for Health Cover, Personal Accident. Loss of Baggage (including Delay of Baggage), Loss of Passport, Financial  Emergency Assistance, Hospital Daily Allowance and Personal Liability.

The quantum of coverage will depend upon the Plan opted for as well as the country to which the Insured Person is traveling.

 
02) What are the Insurance documents I  would need to carry with me when I travel abroad ?
  (a) Original Policy Schedule
(b) Travel Safe card
(c) Original endorsement Schedule (if any)
(d) Original Medical Report Form (not a photo copy) in case Insured Person is above the age at 60 years
(e) Original test Reports ( not a photo copy) in case the Insured Person is above the age of 60 years
 
03) Is there any limit to the number of claims during the Policy Period?
  No there is no limit to the number of claims during the Policy Period but the total claim amount can only be up to me maximum Sum Insured under the Plan opted for.
 
04) Can dependent children travelling with me be covered under my Policy?
  Dependant children traveling with parents / guardians are covered only if a separate Policy is taken for them and the requisite premium is paid.
 
05) What do I do in case of any loss, damage or accident resulting in a claim?

06) How can I modify my existing TravelSafe Policy?
  Modifications can be done by means of an Endorsement, for which either you or your authorized representative has to contact Eagle..
 
07) How can I renew my TravelSafe Policy?
  No renewals can be done under the Specified Trip Policy. At the time of requirement, a  new Policy will be issued. However the Annual Cover can be renewed, for which you should contact Eagle.
 
08) What I do if my Policy Schedule is lost or stolen?
  A copy of the Policy Schedule should  be made available to your beneficiary/ relative in  Sri Lanka which can be utilized in the event of a loss of the original Policy Schedule. In extreme situations of loss of both the copies, You may request Eagle to issue a certificate giving the broad details of the cover granted, which can be used for providing the requisite cover information to the our Claim Settling Agent.
 
09) Are there any automatic extensions of the Period of insurance under the Policy?
  Automatic extensions of the Policy can only occur under the following circumstances:

(a). Delay at Public Services beyond the control of the Insured Person. In this case the Period of insurance is automatically extended for a maximum of seven days.

(b) Curative treatment of injury/ illness / accident continuing beyond the expiry date of this Policy-in this case the Period of Insurance, is automatically extended for 30 days for the Specified Trip Policy and 60 days for the Annual Cover, provided that the injury / illness is contracted during the Policy Period which necessitates curative treatment beyond the expiry date of the Insurance Contract and it can be established that transportation home is not possible.

 
10) If I prefer treatment in Sri Lanka can that be arranged for? In that case, are the medical expenses incurred in Sri Lanka also payable under the Policy?
  Treatment In Sri Lanka can be arranged for if in the opinion of the Claim Settling Agent, treatment should continue in Sri Lanka till the end of the Insurance Period or for a maximum of 30 days beyond the Insurance Period, although the diseases injury / illness is contracted abroad. Medical expenses included in Sri Lanka will be payable in such cases.
